Missing COM Port
« on: May 09, 2017, 09:19:52 PM »
After following the Cleo installation instructions (including Arduino 1.8.2 and Cleo_1.1.2 and copying the files to the documents folder), I connect my Cleo to my Win7Pro laptop.

Running the DFU upgrade from the Cleo PC Tools upgraded the "Cleo opening screen" to version 2.1.2.
However, no serial COM-port will pop up in the device manager. I have tried reinstalling / uninstalling drivers and the Arduino software, but the only device I get is the winusb driver, showing itself as CleO DFURuntime.

Of course, the Tools / Port entry in the Arduino IDE is greyed out.

What am I doing wrong / can I do to get the correct serial port?

Best regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,
the USB port on CleO is purely for firmware updates only. Plug a NerO or other Arduino style board into CleO and connect the USB port of that to your PC.
Cheers,
Fred
