Hi Mark,
the USB port on CleO is purely for firmware updates only. Plug a NerO or other Arduino style board into CleO and connect the USB port of that to your PC.

And one more thought on the subject - even when you have smart phones today with extremely high resolution, this resolution is usually reserved for video/photo playback etc. The HMI part, they don't scale as people's fingers don't get smaller o match, so you don't squeeze more of that onto the screen. Instead of one big menu of options to touch, you subdivide it into a hierarchy of menus instead - more screens but easier on the fingers. Windows 10 is a good example - BIG chunky selections, much like a mobile phone, even in PC mode using a mouse.

Thanks for your nice comments about the technology, much appreciated. Out of curiosity, what MCU platform are you using to drive the EVE chip?

Yes, it's a difficult task finding a 10in+ TFT display in SVGA or less - a year or so ago, we displayed a elevator simulation on the AUO G104SN03 V5 panel (TFT only, no touch) using FT812 +  RGB->LVDS chip which worked pretty well but no CTP option for this display.

I'll take another look at it - if we could find ( or make ) a CTP to match this, I might do something with it if there is enough interest. I'll let you know ...

I assume MISO and SCLK both being connected to Digital Pin 12 is a typo.
How are you powering the CleO50? USB or external PSU or ??
What results if any do you get ? Some description might help, thanks..

Check out the Arduino DUE pinout for SPI vs. the pinout on UNO. They are different.
Also, check that the IO voltage on CleO is set to 3.3V not 5V.
Jumper wires of a few inches should be fine.

Pleased to hear that you found a solution. Though we use Arduino, we are not experts,but it does sound like an installation / IDE issue. Maybe worth asking the question on an Arduino forum. Anyway, it works now and that's the main thing  :D

I think both should be in either c:\Users\Jan\Documents\Arduino\libraries\CleO\ OR D:\Gebruikers\Jan\Documents\Arduino\libraries\CleO\
but not in different paths on different drive names.

Aha - thanks for the code snippet. I think the problem may be that you are using hardware SPI for the CleO, which is fine and software SPI for the BME280, which is also fine **but** I don't think you can share any pins between the two implementations. Try moving BME_SCK, BME_MISO and BME_MOSI to unused pins and see if that works. Alternatively, change the BME280 to use hardware SPI not software SPI.

A big thank you to our backers who were able to visit out stand at the show. On preview was CleO50 - a 5in version of Cleo35 with a really nice 800x480 display. It also includes an RTC on board and a couple of Mikroe Click Board slots as well as the Arduino/Nero interface. Official launch coming soon - we'll be offering a 20% discount to existing CleO and NerO backers for a limited time following the launch.
